How much does hot tub hire cost?
A hard-shell hot tub is £349 for 7 nights, £649 for 28 nights, or £449 a month on a long-term hire of three months or more. Cold plunge hire is £149, £299 and £199 on the same terms, and the hot-and-cold bundle is £449, £849 and £599. Every price includes delivery, set-up, chemicals, cover, steps, an RCD lead and collection within 20 miles of Faringdon.
Is there a deposit?
A £50 booking deposit secures your dates once we confirm availability, and the balance is due seven days before delivery. There is no damage deposit. You are responsible for damage beyond normal wear, capped at £250 if you take our £19 damage waiver.
Can I hire a hot tub for a month or longer?
Yes, and it is the best value way to do it. 28 nights is £649. Three months or more is £449 a month, billed monthly, including a service visit every four weeks where we drain, clean and refill the tub. Give us 14 days notice to end a long-term hire after the third month.
Do prices go up at Christmas?
Each 7-night hire week that overlaps 20 December to 3 January carries a £100 peak supplement on hot tub and bundle hires: a week over Christmas is £100 more, a 28-night hire across Christmas and New Year is £300 more. Cold plunge prices do not change. Bank holiday weeks are standard price.
What power does the hot tub need?
A standard 13-amp socket with an RCD, within 15 metres of the tub. We bring a heavy-duty outdoor lead with an RCD plug. No electrician, no hard-wiring. The plunge chiller needs the same, and both can run from one double socket.
How much space do I need?
A flat, level, hard surface about 2.5 by 2.5 metres: patio, slabs, concrete or decking rated for the load. A full tub weighs about 1.6 tonnes. Firm, level lawn is possible on the ground mats we carry, so tell us in the notes. The cold plunge needs 2 by 1.5 metres.
What access do you need?
A clear path at least 80 cm wide from where the van can park to the site, with no more than two or three steps and no tight corners. We move the tub on a wheeled dolly. Side gates, garages and rear lanes all work.
Do I need a tap?
Yes, an outside tap or a hose run from indoors. Filling uses about 900 litres, which costs around £3 on a water meter. We fill on delivery day and drain on collection day.
How long does it take to heat up?
From a cold fill, 12 to 24 hours on a 13-amp supply. The tub has to travel empty, so we fill it from your hose on delivery day and it is at 38 to 40°C by the following day. If the tub is for a particular evening, start the hire the day before.
How much does it cost to run?
About £2 a day. A hard-shell tub uses roughly 7 to 10 kWh a day at 38°C with the cover on, which is £1.85 to £2.65 at the October 2026 Ofgem price cap (26.32p per kWh). The cold plunge chiller uses 1 to 1.5 kWh a day, under 50p.
What do I have to do during the hire?
Keep the cover on when you are not in it, keep it plugged in, and dip a test strip once a day. If the strip reads low, add the measured dose of chlorine we leave you. On monthly and long-term hires we visit every four weeks to drain, clean and refill.
How many people fit in?
Four adults in the hot tub, with hydrotherapy jets and LED lighting. The cold plunge is a one-person, 400-litre tub.
How cold does the plunge get, and how quickly?
The chiller holds anything from 3°C to 12°C with no ice. Like the hot tub it travels empty, so we fill it on delivery day and it takes up to 24 hours to reach your set temperature, quicker in cool weather.
Is the water safe?
Every tub is fully drained, cleaned, disinfected and refilled between hires, following the HSE’s HSG282 guidance on spa pools used for hire. Water is dosed with chlorine at set-up, you get test strips and a two-minute routine at handover, and long-term hires include monthly water changes.
Can children use the hot tub?
Only with an adult in the water with them. We recommend no under-fives, and for children we set the tub to 35°C and suggest 10 minutes at a time. The person booking must be 18 or over.
Who should not use a hot tub or cold plunge?
Anyone pregnant or with a heart, blood pressure or circulation condition should check with their GP first. Do not use either tub after drinking heavily or with sedating medication, and never plunge alone: cold shock is real, so start with 1 to 3 minutes and get out when you stop enjoying it.
Are you insured?
Yes. Public liability insurance covers our delivery, set-up and collection, and every lead and plug is inspected and tested before each hire. The equipment is covered for accidental damage through the optional £19 damage waiver.
How do I book?
Send an availability request: choose hot, cold or both, your dates, and your postcode. We check the diary, confirm by email or WhatsApp, and send a secure payment link for the £50 deposit. Full online booking with live availability is coming next.
How far in advance should I book?
Summer weekends and Christmas go first, typically four to six weeks ahead. Midweek and long-term hires can often start within a few days.
Can I extend?
Usually, yes. Tell us before your last day and we will roll the hire on at the monthly or long-term rate.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel more than 14 days before delivery and we refund the deposit in full. Inside 14 days the deposit is kept, but you can move the dates once for free.
